2 Easy Ways To Make Your Content Last Longer

make your content last longer with pinterest and blogging

In 2024, we all have short attention spans, and the powers that be behind social media know it.

When you’re using these platforms for marketing, that means you need to churn out post after post in a never ending stream of content that stops getting shown to people after a couple days, if you’re lucky.

As a firm believer and subscriber of working smarter, not harder, I focus on the ways content can last much longer.

If there’s a platform where your content can continue to circulate, not just for more than a few days, but for years, wouldn’t you want to take advantage of that?

Pinterest + blogging make your content last longer

Pins and blogs circulate for years!

I have clients with pins that are still doin the work and bringing in website traffic that were posted years ago.

Not only do blogs last a long time, but they help your marketing strategy in so many ways:

  • Each blog post is another opportunity for your website to rank on Google.

  • Blog posts provide excellent value to pin to on Pinterest.

  • You can break down the info in a blog post and create content for other platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and your email list.

It’s a no brainer, right??

I’m definitely not suggesting that you stop marketing on other platforms.

What I am suggesting is that you get those blog posts up and those pins pinned so you can let them get started and then keep working for you over and over.

(The fact that they work so well together, too, is just an added bonus!)

Pins and blogs will keep going long after your Instagram post and TikTok video have gone to the internet graveyard.

So next time you're wondering how to make your content last longer, don't skip out on these two great marketing tools!
