What to Post on Pinterest When You Don't Have A Blog

what to post on pinterest

So you’re on Pinterest (yesss!), you want it to drive dreamy traffic to your site (obvi), but then you realize… you don’t have a blog. (...womp womp)

And now you’re wondering: “Wait… what do I even post on Pinterest?”

Fair question. Let’s talk about it.

Let’s get one thing straight real quick:

Pinterest only really works if you have valuable content to share.

It’s not just a visual platform, it’s a visual search engine.

People aren’t just scrolling for vibes; they’re actively looking for solutions, ideas, or inspiration. So if you’re not blogging (no shame, blogging isn’t for everyone!), you still need to give the Pinterest crowd something helpful to click on.

Don’t worry, I’ve got ideas.

1. Pin Your Website Pages (But NOT Your Homepage)

This might feel like the obvious option, but trust me, it’s often overlooked.

If you’re a service provider or creative, you likely have at least a few strong pages on your website:

Services

 Portfolio

About page with a killer brand story

 Inquiry or contact page

Pin to those! If someone sees your work and clicks over to your services page, that transition makes sense. They were interested in what you offer and now they’re learning how to hire you. Clean. Clear. Conversion-friendly.

Pro Tip: Avoid pinning just your homepage.

Pinterest doesn’t always register leanonmeg.com vs. leanonmeg.com/services as different destinations. You could lose tracking (and clicks!) in the process. Pin to specific slugs, always.

2. Freebies + Lead Magnets

You can’t go wrong with a well-crafted freebie. Seriously.

Creating a free resource - like a checklist, guide, or mini training - is one of the smartest ways to grow your email list and build trust. Pinterest is the perfect place to promote those free downloads.

But please, I'm begging you, make sure your freebie actually has value. We’ve all downloaded a sad little PDF that promised the world and gave us a Canva title page and bullet points... so annoying.

Don't be one of those people!

You don’t have to give away your entire framework, but your lead magnet should feel helpful, thoughtful, and worth the email address.

Pro Tip: Use a landing page on your site (not Google Drive or Dropbox links).

That way you can pin directly to your claimed domain and track performance.

3. Podcast Episodes

If you’re podcasting and not pinning your episodes… you’re missing out on major long-game traffic.

Here’s how to do it right:

  • Create a blog-style landing page for each episode

  • Include a short summary or key takeaways

  • Embed the audio player (Spotify, Apple, etc.)

  • Link out to the episode platforms from there

This keeps everything on your site (Pinterest loves that), and gives new listeners a chance to explore the rest of your offerings, too. Win-win.

4. Products

Selling something? Pin it.

Seriously, it doesn’t need to be complicated. If you have a digital product (like presets, guides, templates) or a physical product (prints, books, merch), it’s 100% Pinterest-worthy.

Each product = at least a handful of pin designs with different titles, use cases, or benefits.

The blog manager in me is dying to tell you to write a whole post about it too… but I promised we weren’t going to talk about blogging today, so I’ll keep that to myself!!

So… The Answer to What to Post on Pinterest Without a Blog?

To recap:

✨ Specific website pages (not your homepage)

✨ Freebies with real value

✨ Podcast episode landing pages

✨ Product pages (digital or physical)

No blog? No problem. You’ve still got plenty to pin.

Just remember: every pin should lead to something that solves a problem, answers a question, or gets your ideal client one step closer to saying “wow yep, I need this.”

Want to skip the stress and just have someone do it for you?

If reading this has you thinking “Okay but… I still don’t want to figure out what to post on Pinterest every week,” I’ve got you.

I help photographers and creative business owners turn their content (yes, even without a blog!) into scroll-stopping, traffic-driving pins that actually work.

You don’t have to brainstorm content.

You don’t have to design pins.

You don’t even have to log into Pinterest, honestly.

If you’re ready to finally hand it off, I’m ready to take it over.

Check out my Pinterest management services here and let’s get your content working while you’re off doing what you love.

Because if you don’t want to think about what to post on Pinterest, I can think about it for you!
